Social life

Merrimack College offers a warm welcome to international students. The compact size means that you'll find it easy to settle in and find your way around. 

To experience more of college life, you can choose to get involved in one or more of the 60 student-led clubs and organizations. There are many societies with an international focus; including World Peers, A.L.A.N.A. (Asian, Latino, African, Native American) student organization, International Assistant Program, Global Village, International Thanksgiving, and International Tea. 

Whether you are relaxing in the communal kitchens of the 47 Lounge, enjoying an on-campus concert, working out in the fitness center, or taking part in intramural sports: you'll find plenty of activity options, 24/7.

Home life

On-campus you'll find apartment-style accommodation with four to six students sharing each unit. All apartments are furnished and include full kitchen facilities. You can also choose from a number of dining plans.


The Merrimack College campus covers 0.89km2, stretching between the towns of North Andover and Andover, MA. With its boutiques, coffee shops and bookstores, North Andover is a great place to stroll and shop. You can also swim, hike or go horseback riding in the surrounding nature reserve.

If you want to explore American industry, Boston is just 40km away. The engineering, business and finance sectors thrive in the city, providing you with plenty of real-world inspiration. 

As one of the oldest cities in the USA, Boston is the perfect place to learn about American history and culture. Here you can visit world-class museums, music venues, and sporting events, and try a wide range of foods from around the world.
